For some reason

I'm not feeling very confident lately. I just don't feel like I'm as good as i should be, I've reached a point where im not sure how to get better, or i just have to push myself harder than ever just to catch up. In terms of competitive Smash I feel like everyone else is just kind of breaking away from me, like they're all getting better while I'm almost standing still, I have to push just to barely keep up, they're all just playing smarter than I am. And as a musician I'm not really as good as I'd like people to think. I don't really feel like I know enough about music to be as good a sax player as I'd like to be. I've decided for the month of March I am a quad player, maybe playing quads for Drumline makes me feel like I have a better chance of setting myself apart from everyone else, that and I haven't quite felt very inspired to play my sax(sorry Trish). So yea for the rest of this Month, until Drumline Competitions are over I'm a quad player, because I don't like feeling like a 2nd rate sax player. Maybe in April I'll feel more inspired to Jazz it up again, but for nao here's to quads one of the only things I can somewhat be proud of and have fun playing right nao.

...The Hell is wrong with me?!

I have always had this problem with doing..work. well its not so much the execution of the task its more of the...getting started. For instance I've had this essay that sicne we were assigned 2-3weeks ago I have done little to no work on it. I thought about doing some writing today but i constantly put it off for something more favorable such as Borderlands or searching up stuff on youtube. Well right nao my current plan is to do it during 1st period tomorrow(yay for free period.) After buying an early morning coffee. ann im rationalizing it with my tiring Saturday which the whole band woke up at about 4:00am and got back at around 11:00pp(note a total of approximately 5ppl actually didnt take the time to sleep that day) so it was a very tiring day.

So I asked one of my standard grammatical questions(example; why do noses run and feet smell?) to a friend of mine over Aim and i got one of THEE BEST responses i got in forever. Screen Names of course have been altered cuz idk how i feel about disclosing them to the interwebs, you know how crazy people over there are sometimes.

Tomorrow

..is the day of our first Drumline Competition,(awww yeeuuuhh)
Today was surprisingly productive, got a lot of drill down in a the span of 2 days, so im relatively happy about how much we've accomplished. So tomorrow is our first time competition in so long and I'm hoping to do well, We still have a lot of work to do but its turning out great so far.

The basic plan is to;
-wake up(hexa early i might add) to join Rickshaw and company for early morning PANCAKES!!!
-get to school before 8:30 and prep
-then compete/kick ass etc. ^^
-Stick around for awards, and see how the newer band members react to other competing bands and what competition is like

in fact i should probably be sleeping right this very moment instead of writing this blog since ima wake up far earlier than i am comfortable waking up(btw for those of you who don't know i am NOT a morning person)

This Coming Month...

..is going to be quite hectic.
Drumline has nao officially signed up for..4?....no it was 5 competitions. So we have until next weekend to get music down and come up with drill. So it goes without saying we're going to be working our asses off, especially since the majority of our Drumline, aside from me and 3 others have never been to a competition. Good thing is that we at least have the music down so nao we just need to perfect the memorization and then incorporate drill..still lots of work to do. So yea wish us luck everyone.

Now on to me personally. I happen to be playing the part of Link(yes Link from Zelda) in our Drumline show...and the costume consists of well...Link's classic skirt/tights outfit -_- oh and don't forget that he's blonde(ehl oh ehl) As for the skirt/tights look ..well it's not thaaaat bad, i mean if my best friend can go around school in a dress for drama i think i can wear that for Drumline. And as for the hair, my friends keep telling me im actually gonna have to dye it 0_o of course that's some o'l BS but it got me thinking this might be my excuse to finally do something with all this hair that I've been growing out for so long. I don't really wanna dye it all that much...but maybe highlights at the least hahaha.
